i love your extension but have the following issues I need help with:

1. When I Enable URL optimization none of the links on my website work. How can I fix this?
2. The short URL do not work either.
3. When I edit the Home Page Meta Data Page title does not reflect what I typed. For example I typed Free Kasasa Checking | Low Rate Loans | GTKY Credit Union but it still shows Greater Kentucky Credit Union Inc. - Greater Kentucky Credit Union, Inc.
4. Also the meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow". However I have set it to INDEX,FOLLOW

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi

1 - If by "not working" you mean you get 404s, then you probably need to setup your .htaccess file correctly for URL rewriting.

2 - What do you mean by "short URL"?

3 and 4: on the screen shot "meta.jpg" that you sent, I can tell that sh404SEF is not running. Maybe you have "Enable URL optimization" to No? this is a global switch for sh404SEF, if you disable that, sh404SEF is entirely disable (almost).

1. Correct, when I set the Enable URL Optimization to Yes, none of the links on my website work. So how and where do I go to fix the .htaccess file?

2. For example the long url to get to Accounts page is http://www.xxxx.com/en/accounts.html and the shURL is 'k3'. So if if enter http://www.xxxx.com/k3 it should take me to the same page as http://www.xxxx.com/en/accounts.html correct?

3 & 4. You are correct, Enable URL optimization is currently set to No since the none of the links work when I enable it. So how can I make sure all the links will work when I enable it?

Hi

1 - Assuming the 404s you see are server errors, then you need to setup the .htaccess file that your server needs by following the Joomla documentation for instance.

This is a server setup, so we can't really be of any help. We would suggest you keep "URL optimization" to No, until your server .htaccess is properly configured. When SEF URLs work with Joomla, they will work with sh404SEF.

Another good source of information is your web hosting company, they setup your server, so they probably can help with URL rewriting.

2 - Yes. But this is of course assuming URL rewriting is working on your server.
