if i want black list a range of IP adresses will the wildcard work ?
199.27.*.*

how to black list an empty UserAgent ?

when the UserAgent containts multiple words - is it enough to write only one in the UserAgent black list ?
when the useragent looks like perl code and is like one long big word is it enough to write only few letters(word that makes sense)

Hi

1 - Yes, Wildcard should work
2 - Empty user agent: you cannot do that
3 - The user agent strings are exact match, so it can't be partial, only a few words, etc

Hi

Looks like HTTP_HOST is not defined on your server for some connections. It triggers a notice error in both Joomla (first message) and also in sh404SEF (second message).

Don't know where such requests would come from on your server, there's little we can do about it I think.
