Hello,

I use sh404sef many years and everything works fine. Now I want so switch a SSL-Site with Joomla-SEF-URLs like:

https://www.domain.de/12-test

to a sh404sef-URL like:

https://www.domain.de/test.htm

I tested it and both works fine. But the problem is, that after installing sh404SEF still both URLs work. I think, I will get indexing-problems.

Is there a possibility, that sh404SEF routes the Joomla-SEF-URLs to the new sh404SEF-URLs? And yes, the configuration "301 Redirect von Nicht-SEF zu SEF" is on.

Regards
Peter

Hi

1 - What's the real domain?
2 - I don't understand why you talk about SSL. Does SSL have anything to do with the problem?
3 - /12-test is standard Joomla SEF, right?

Are you using the default sh404SEF? is this happening just after installation?
4 - If not, do you have any extension set to "Use Joomla router" under the "By component" tab of sh404SEF configuration?

ok - ssl isn't important for the problem.

Here is an example:
http://www.xxxx.de/impressum.html
and
http://www.xxxx.de/12-impressum
works both. I want to install sh404sef on baby-welten.de. There still works the Joomla router. When I install sh404sef all the old URLs still be reachable, right?

To question 4: Yes, there is one component that need Joomla-routing (RWcards, on xxxx.de it will be Kunena).

Hi

Yes, there is one component that need Joomla-routing
If you enable Joomla router, then the Joomla router will always decode the Joomla SEF URL, and there's nothing that can be done about it.

If you enable the Joomla router for one component (any component), and somebody requests /12-impressum, then when we ask the Joomla router to decode the requested URL, it will return by saying the URL is ok and provide us with the corresponding non-sef. We need to ask the router to decode the URL because RWCards needs it (not sure why Kunena would need that though).

ok - I will try Kunena without Routing. In the past there will be some problems ...

Thank you very much

Hi

Unless you have a very large sites with tens or hundreds of thousands of forum users, there should not be any issue with kunena.
