Hi Weeblr-Team,

I've a problem with the rewrites modes. In the old version of sh404sef I could choose the mode ".htaccess" and everything regarding the urls worked. in the current version I can not choose and I can't get rid of the /index.php/ in the url.. I didnt changed anything else in sh404sef or in the joomla config.

old and right url: https://www.xxxx.de/ueber-die-pixsoftware-gmbh

now: XXX.xxxx.de/index.php/ueber-die-pixsoftware-gmbh (XXX because its a testserver at the moment)

unfortunately i can't give you access to the backend or ftp because of our client (pix).

but can you please give me a hint what I do have to change to make sh404sef work again?

Hi

It probably means your Joomla config was incorrect in the past. That setting was removed from sh404SEF control panel, because it was just a duplicate of the Joomla one.

So now we are using directly the Joomla SEF setting, in sh404SEF configuration. If you set "Use URL rewriting" to Yes, this should fix your problem.

Well yes, if you haven't set up your web server (apache) for URL rewriting, you cannot use URL rewriting!

That's not related to sh404SEF. Here's the page on the Joomla! documentation site providing details about the procedure to use for the most common web servers: https://docs.joomla.org/Enabling_Search_Engine_Friendly_(SEF)_URLs
