 Hello,

Since we have installed the sh404SEF it started affecting how Facebook scrapes our website URLs. When pasting a website link into a FB status for example, it no longer pulls in any images or page text as it used to before.

I had a look at the url debugger for facebook and it now shows a lot of errors. I tried installing the latest version of the sh404SEF today and also refreshing the scrape info on the debugger, but we still have the same issue (see an example attached). For the homepage of the website it does pull in some outdated images that are no longer on the page, but no longer pulls any text.

Could you please help us as we thought that sh404SEF would improve our social network integration whereas the result seems to be the opposite at the moment...

Many thanks

Anna

Hi

I have seen this error before (Curl error: WRITE_ERROR Error while processing content unencoding: invalid block type).
It's a server setup thing, here what you can do:

1 - Make sure Joomla error reporting is set to None
then clear your Joomla cache, if you use it, and test with the debugger again
2 - If not fixed, disable Joomla Gzip setting
then clear your Joomla cache, if you use it, and test with the debugger again
3 - Make sure you disable any compression/optimizer extension such as JCHOptimize or JotCache
then clear your Joomla cache, if you use it, and test with the debugger again

Let me know.

Rgds

Thank you so much for a quick reply, I have set the reporting to None and disabled the Gzip setting and this fixed the issue :-) thanks again!
