Hello,

I'm using this plugin in 2 of my websites. Before plugin installation i had many duplicated urls that removed in one of the websites and return 404 not found but another website still show the pages with old duplicated urls. I checked the setting and all look the same and I can not figure out what i missed in another site.

for example i had urls like this: www.example.com/1-category/1-artcile

after i installed plugin it became www.example.com/article that is fine for me but one website return 404 not found but another still show the page when use www.example.com/1-category/1-artcile

I appreciate if you can help

Hi

This could happen if on the "faulty" website you use "Use Joomla router" for at least one of the components, under the "By components" tab of sh404SEF main configuration.

If you do so, the Joomla router will take over and it accepts the request on itself.

Hi,

Thank you for fast response. Yes your are right, when i removed "Use Joomla router" for
Flexicontact component it worked fine. but now my contact us menu item's URL is:

http://www.mywebsite.com/component/com_flexicontact/Itemid,110/view,responsive/

and it is not listed in SEF URLs in plugin. How I'm able to make SEF URL for it?

I tried to use menu item link to make SEF URL manually but it returns error from component that email is not set correctly

Hi

This happens because flexicontact probably doesn't have a router.php file to build URLs.
There are 2 options:

1 - Now that you have set Flexicontent back to "Use default handler", then in the second dropdown, instead of "Use sh404SEF plugin if available", select "Use router.php with menu item"
Then purge URLs, or at least delete any Flexicontact URLs found in the URL manager, if any, and go visit the site
2 - If this is a single link, you can always create a custom URL: on the URL manager, click the "New" button. As a SEF URL, enter something like "contact-us", and as a non-SEF URL enter

index.php?option=com_flexicontact&Itemid=110&view=responsive

, then click Save
