Hello... I installed the sh404sef components.
I enable in configuration panel use url rewritening (like picture attached) and I can show only my home page... I can't find any other page (error 404 url not found).
So I try to modify file htacces.txt in .htacces
But after this change I can't open home page, I can't open any other page and I can't open administration site.
In quickstart panel of the component I activated functions like picture attached. I show some tutorial video and in the quickstart panel there was option: with .htacces or no with hatacces but I can't find this option in my quickstart panel. I have joomla 3.x and I downloaded sh404sef for this joomla version.
Please help me! Thanks a lot for the support!

Hi

All of this is unrelated to sh404SEF. You would have the same problem with Joomla SEF.

Your problem is that your .htaccess file is invalid. Your .htaccess is specific to your web server.
The htaccess.txt file that comes with Joomla is a good start, and it will work with most servers, but it looks like your server is different.

My first advice:
1 - disable sh404SEF "URL optmization"
2 - Enable Joomla SEF URLs and Joomla URL Rewriting
3 - Fix your .htaccess

To fix your .htaccess, look inside the .htaccess file and read the comments there. There are some options that you can comment out or change.

Another good solution is your hosting company. They are the one who steup your server, so they should know what the correct settings for Joomla should be.

When Joomla SEF works fine, then you can enable sh404SEF URL optimization, it will work as well.

Hi

I don't know if the problem is this...
The problem is this.

Like I said: remove sh404SEF. You will have the same problem.

How can I fix the file .htaccess? What I have to comment or uncomment?
I don't know. This is a server issue. You must talk to your hosting company.
