Hello,

I'm sorry but your solution of #1309 brought another problem.
Now all german subsites run into a 404 page.

Had to reinstall Version 4.7.0 to get it running again.

Hi

Sorry about that, it's fixed now. you can download a new version from the same page, but I directly installed on your site to be sure. Please double-check everything.

One thing: you have 2 links to reach your home page: / and /de.
This is regular Joomla behavior and totally duplicate content. sh404SEF normally fixes that by adding a canonical tag to your home page (canonical = "/"). But currently, you have disabled sh404SEF SEO features, so it doesn't do it. Therefore you're left with the default Joomla canonical, which is /de instead of /, which I find unfortunate as you probably won't get any backling to /de, but instead to /

Hello Yannick,

thanks for fixing it so fast. I will test now.

Do I have to activate SH404SEF Metadata Management to get canonical URLs working?
Actually we use Easy Frontend Seo for Metadata management.

Hi

"Do I have to activate SH404SEF Metadata Management to get canonical URLs working?"
Yes, anything but SEF URL generation and security is subject to "Activate SEO management" being set to Yes.
