Hello

I have always used sh404sef and had no problems on my site even during the updates...but the last two updated versions if installed and url rewrite is enabled in sh404 ...the site crashes and homepage is unresponsive. Is there a new setting in sh404sef newer version compared to the old ones that can cause this. Is their a way I can disable this new setting so hopefully the site operates properly.

On the attachment i included you can see that the site home page slider and layout all goes crazy after sh404 url rewrite is enable and i updated to the newest version. This only happens after i update to the newer versions. older version is no problem.

Hi

First, this has nothing to do with "crashing". It's only the front page modules/templates not appearing on the right page.

Second, what I see here is a test site from cloud access. Is that your site? We need to talk about the real thing, the real site, and real URL and pages.

- what's your exact and full joomla version?
- what's your PHP version
- what's your site language (very important) and what languages are listed under the Content tab of Joomla language manager?

Hello

My PHP Version is 5.6.9

Joomla Version is 3.4.5

Language in content tab of joomla is en-gb which is the same in Languages tab of configuration is sh404

It is a test site...i upgraded to a newer version on my main site and as you stated the modules and templates did not appear properly. Restored my main site from a backup I had and decided to upload the backup on this test site to retest and see if we could solve the problem.

I just reenabled the test site

Site login for administrater is xxxx.net
username is xxxx
password is xxxx

Please let me know if there is any way i can fix this update problem. As i said before...on older sh404 versions 4.4.9.2487 my sites works perfectly but if i upgrade to a newer version site displays improperly.

Thank you in advance for your help

Hi

Still no joy. Could it be that the account is not activated?

Account is activated. For some reason...when you login the url changes to my main url and that is why it shows you are not logged in. If you just retype after entering login credentials

http://xxxx.net/administrator/index.xxxx

you will be logged in to backend

Hi

Really weird. The site displays normally if I request http://xxxx.net/index.php instead of http://xxxx.cloudaccess.net/

Can you check that the $live_site variable is empty in your configuration.php (that would also explain why it's coming back to your live site instead of staying on the test site).

Hi

Ok, took me a long time to find: it's your template.

Problem was not about modules not showing or anything but rather an error in the html of the page.

(note that you also have a broken link, and image that's missing - see screenshot);

In this case, the problem comes from your template which has a function to "Optimize script tags" byt putting them at the end of the file. But this optimizer is not capable of handling google markeup for sitename, which is xxxx.
They basically break it because it should not be part of the optimization process.

Disabling that feature solves the problem. I suggest you report that bug to JSN, so that they can fix it in an upcoming release.
