Good morning,

I hope you can help me with the following problem. Often I see an article withe the wrong non sef url on my website. For example [xxxx]

If I go to the management part of sh404sf and and surch for the article with that name in the part of the sef url's I see a list of url's I don't understand (see attachment).

Can you help me what to do and how handle this so it turns to a nice url like the rest of my articles?

Regards, Maarten

Hi

No I mean a page on your site where I can see the html link to http://www.xxxx.info/article?id=1059

On this page (http://www.xxxx.info/xxxx), there's no link to http://www.xxxx.info/article?id=1059

To say it in another way, you said:
Often I see an article withe the wrong non sef url on my website
Where can I see this myself?

The only thing I know is to give you a screenshot of the backend of this article. Do you want acces to my admin panel?

I see this bad links when I open an article on the frontend. I send you a link of a good and a bad one (the bad one is also the ugly one!!) Also Google index this url wrong (see screenshot).

Hi

No, you didn't give me anything and I'm still waiting for a link where I can see that link.

Let me give you an example. I am loading this page in my browser: http://www.xxxx.info/.
I have checked all links on this page, and I cannot see http://www.xxxx.info/article?id=1059 on it.

I have also visited this page: http://www.xxxx.info/xxxx, and I checked all the links on that page also: there is no http://www.xxxx.info/article?id=1059 on that page.

So once again: where can I see this bad, ugly link on your site?

That's the big problem! There is no such article like id=1059 It leads to this article. That's what I could find in Google

But also the url http://www.xxxx.info/xxxx/1059-alisma-plantago-aquatica-grote-waterweegbree.html must be www.xxxx.info/xxxx

Hi

We're still don't understanding each other. I am not asking if this article exist or not.

I am asking where does this link (not article, the link) is found on your site.

Maybe I should rephrase:

Why do you think this has anything to do with sh404SEF?????

I am thinking you mean this one. This table script produces Joomla links to articles. And sh404sef makes the beautiful links. Is this the answer you needed?

Maarten

YES!

(why didn't you just give me alink instead of a screen shot?)

So yes, it is this page that has the wrong links:

So who created that page? I suggest you simply has to fix the original link in the article table.

These links are generated by a custom component, build by my son.
He says:

The links are generated this way:
<?php echo JRoute::_('index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=' . $item->id . ':' . $item->alias); ?>

Hi

Can you do the following:
- disable Joomla SEF in Joomla global configuration
- disable sh404SEF URL optimization from its control panel

Then load that page and look at the source code to see what are the actuall non-sef URL links created but the component.

When disable all seo option, the following url is generated instead off /article?id=1056:
/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1056:alisma-gramineum-smalle-waterweegbree

Previously, about article 1059, you said there's no such article.

hmmm, at this stage, I need to see this for myself. Could you please provide us with superadmin credentials to your website. You can create a temporary account, and delete it afterwards, but it must have superuser level.

Thanks and regards

Hi

OK, under the "By components" tab of sh404SEF you had selected "Use Joomla router.php" instead of (use sh404SEF plugin if available).

I reset that back to the default settings and purged URLs. All seems good.

Hi

If not directly related to the same problem, it's much better to open a separate ticket for each issue, otherwise this becomes a big mess.

Hi

Thanks. Closing this ticket now, feel free to open a new one as needed. If you do so, please mention this ticket number in the new one.

If you created any superadmin account for us, be sure to delete or block it now to avoid unecessary risk in the future.
