Dear all,
I have your great plugin on since yesterday and I think that I need a liitle help with setting it up.

I realised that my "old" links doesn't work. For egsample, I have a component with latest coments that links to "old pages" and also links that are coming from my facebook wall http://xxxx.ly/1itAIHz  - they all links to "old format":

xxxx.pl/za-darmo/otworz-konto-odbierz-tablet-samsung-galaxy-tab-3-do-konta-prestizowego-getin-online.html
instead of:
xxxx.pl/xxxxsef404categoryxxxx/otworz-konto-odbierz-tablet-samsung-galaxy-tab-3-do-konta-prestizowego-getin-online

- should I make a global redirection rule or what? I used to have REDJ for redirection rules but I turned ito off - shoul I turn it on and make global rule or your extension can handle that?

(In previous ticket I asked how to cut the category from link, so this "xxxxsef404categoryxxxx/" as I suppose will be removed).

looking forward to hear from you,
best regars,
Wojtek

I found that the problem was made of aliases (html). after turning it back on and disabling your extension everything works fine back again.

Could you please advise how to use your plaugin and have easy links as domain.com/21312313 and that all old links work propperly?

Thanks,
Kalixo

Hi

Well, sh404SEF is designed to change links, so it changes links for all your URLs. That's exactly what it's built for.

If you have already indexed links, then indeed you have to put a strategy in place for redirecting:

- you can use "aliases" directly inside sh404SEF. See documentation here.

- you can use .htaccess redirects (faster, but more complex).

Ok, thanks for the information.
I used REDJ for redirects and it worked :)
Making global rule for all links was much easier than putting aliases :)
Thnaks!
