Hi all,
I have bought your part, I am very satisfied. Unfortunately I can not understand easily how to exploit to the full power and functionality of sh404sef. My question is: by ensuring payment on my PayPal account, I can find someone of your sh404sef staff willing to devote one hour of his time to check if all options sh404sef of my site www.xxxx.it are optimized to better? In fact, with the recently upgrade I get two boxes orange error, the first is: "You may need to enable the language filter plugin.", But I do not have the site in two languages and I do not need to have it in two languages, but only in Italian language!; the second, "Joomla settings are probably not correct". Of course, if you agree, I will send the login credentials administrator.
I thank you in advance and I hope you help me.
Marisa

Hi

Sorry but we don't offer SEO services (this is what you are asking - there's no "good" sh404SEF configuration, it all depends on your specific SEO requirements).

As for the warning boxes:

1 - About language: it shows because in Joomla language manager, under the Content tab, you probably have both English and Italian enabled. This is typical of a ML site, and you should disable English there.
2 - The Joomla settings message means that Joomla SEF settings are not correct:
- either Joomla SEF URL are disabled
- or you have enable html suffix in Joomla but not in sh404SEF, or vice-versa

As per the error message, the Joomla SEF settings and the sh404SEF settings should be the same, as some badly coded extensions may have trouble otherwise. This won't affect the way sh404SEF operates however.

Hi All,
Perfect!!! All two warning box is OK now, thanks!
I regret that you cannot offer me a service control, but I realize that is a very personalized service, as each site has different parameters. I would be happy just one look, to make sure everything is okay.
Maybe you can tell me a name of an expert, also external to your site?
Thank you
Marisa

Hi,

Glad you sorted it out.
Providing such service is a resource issue, and our job is to write software, so currently we don't have a good solution for that.

I would definitely suggest you talk to Simon Kloostra. He's a well known SEO and Joomla specialist (he's got a book out on the topic). You can reach him here: http://joomlaseo.com/contact
