Hello !

For some reasons i have issue using sh404 on a subfolder of my website http://www.xxxx.com/es/

the home is redirecting to this page http://www.xxxx.com/es/ when it should look like the english version http://www.xxxx.com/ (it's exactly the same backup that i translated.

What can possibly be wrong ?

Hi

There were several things wrong in your /es/ site setup:
- Joomla SEF was off
- there was no "Content" language for Spanish

so I quickly fixed that but right now I'm not sure I understand what you problem is. Here is what I understand:

- you have an (English) Joomla instance at http://www.xxxx.com
- In a subfolder of the first site, you have installed another copy of the site, translated into spanish, and running at http://www.xxxx.com/es/

1 - Is this correct?
2 -
the home is redirecting to this page http://www.xxxx.com/es/ when it should look like the english version http://www.xxxx.com/ (it's exactly the same backup that i translated.
The home menu on the spanish site links to the home page of the spanish site, which is: http://www.xxxx.com/es/.
How can it be anything else? The spanish site doesn't know the English site home page, and it doesn't know even know there's an english site anywhere.

3 - If I have understood well your sites structure, may I ask why you don't just use a multilingual site?

Hi

Glad it works now, but why do you need a component?

For this kind of site, the Joomla multilingual system appears very well suited fto be honest.
