 Hello

I am new to sh404sef.
I just installed the module and went through the config (with the help of the documentation pages). In General - Main - File Suffix I entered ".html", as described, as I have it appended in my Joomla config.

Since I did that, some of my articles are displaying an error (The requested URL .......".html" was not found on this server.), while others are not. I then deleted the ".html", but the pages are still displaying this error.

I hope you can guide me to a solution asap, as I sell things through my website, and some of the errors are on articles with items I sell.

Oh,

I read some other tickets and believe I found the solution.

Deleting the URLs with .html at the end seems to work.

Kind Regards,
Maria

Hi

Most likely, you may have forgotten to PUrge URLs after adding/removing the .html suffix in the sh404SEF configuration (so that new URLs are recreated taking this setting into account).

1 - do you want your URLs to have .html at the end?
2 - If so:
- enable "Add suffix " in Joomla SEF config
- put back ".html" as the suffix in sh404SEF config
- Purge URLs in the URL manager
- clear Joomla cache if you use it (ie: the Joomla system cache plugin is enabled)
- visit home page and check that links on your page, menus, etc do have the .html suffix now.

Rgds
