Hi

This is a MYSQL error. There's absolutely nothing we can do on the sh404SEF side. The server is simply not able to manager the work load. There may be a problem on the server, like a failing disk or similar but this is not a PHP error.

What do your hosting company says?

this not a due to the hoster because when i delete datas in the urls table, there is no problem any more.
So it is due as i told you in another post to a large quantity of urls generated by joomla and virtuemart in your component.
could you please tell me what i have to do to not have so much urls ?
thanks

Yes, this is exactly due to the hoster: the server you have is not big enought to manage the quantity of data you have.

So it is due as i told you in another post to a large quantity of urls generated by joomla and virtuemart in your component.
sh404SEF does not create URL, it only records them. I don't think there's anything you can do to prevent Joomla and Virtuemart to create all those URLS.

ok, i understand, but do not think it is a good answer.
wha should i tell to my hoster ? just "you are not big enough" ?
technically they won 't search why it does not work

Hi

Well, that's a technical answer. I cannot make up answers just to please you. Your server has a work to do in order to power your site based on its traffic, and the intensity of the php and mysql work.
Using sh404SEF add some CPU usage and mysql usage in exchange for some SEO features. Usually we experience between 5 and 30% CPU usage increase.

Now if you server is not powerful enough to handle the load, you only have 2 choices: do not use the feature anymore (stop using sh404SEF) or get a bigger server.

technically they won 't search why it does not work
I never said something is not working. I just said you need a more powerful server.

ok
I saw with the hoster, and they do not have a good solution for us.
It is the first time I see that.
However, is there a method to purge urls without going into the url tab ?
it will be great to have a button on the configuration tab

thanks for answering

Hi

they do not have a good solution for us.
What does that mean?

However, is there a method to purge urls without going into the url tab ?
You should not delete URL. If you delete URLs, the server will need much more power to rebuild them than if it only reads them.

it will be great to have a button on the configuration tab
That won't be great, it's just not the right place to have such button.

I think you already run in "Slow server" mode, which is the best that can be done to access the backend.

I don't see many solutions out of this:

- you update to a bigger server
- you stop using sh404SEF

I assume your hosting company did check their server well, and and mysql settings are correct, so if you can't have a bigger server, then sh404SEF cannot be used in the context of your specific site extensions and size configuration.
