Hello,
We use joomla SEF for many sites using many products, it would be great If we could be proactive about them, while we are transitioning to SH404:

Does SH404 work well with:

jWHMCS - hosting - does SH404 support it and work with it?

Payplans and Paycart by Readybytes? (I would guess so, since they are a partner, right?)

Breezingforms and/or formmaker component?

Is there a way to ensure it works with almost any extension?

Hi

1 - WHCMS: no idea, never had a request. Generally speaking, if an extension has a router.php file, it should be usable with sh404SEF.

The only thing to keep in mind is that sh404SEF is much less tolerant than Joomla in terms of URL, and extensions using relative URLs in some forms and other situations will meet a 404 with sh404SEF (which is the correct answer, escpecially from an SEO standpoint) while Joomla may let them go through.

2 - Payplans: they have a built-in plugin for sh404SEF, but it's not complete. I did write a custom plugin for it as we run it here on weeblr. I can provide it to you, but it's unofficial and not supported.

I don't know about Paycart, they haven't approached me on that for testing or anything. I'd assume they would have done a plugin, but really I dont know.

3 - Breezing: is used by some users. From memory, it doesn't have a router.php so you may have to create a URL manually, but that needs to be checked.

No. sh404SEF provides the infrastructure. It'll work perfectly with any extension that follow the Joomla API for routing. Unfortunately, some don't, even large and popular ones (relative URLs, not managing Itemid,...)
