 Hello,

The design of the article page looks a bit strange.
The designers of the theme are pointing back to some of the settings of sh404sef.

"
Thank you for contacting us. This is problem of SH404self. The url has been duplicated: http://prntscr.com/xxxx You should purge all links.

Also, You can try to use menu alias to prevent the duplicate links http://prntscr.com/xxxx
"

Could you please help me get the article pages look ok, it is causing me with a bit of a headache :)

My original message to the developer of the theme:

Hi

"Thank you for contacting us. This is problem of SH404self. The url has been duplicated: http://prntscr.com/xxxx You should purge all links. Also, You can try to use menu alias to prevent the duplicate links"

This is the most terrible advice one could get, and I hope you didn't follow that. They have no clue what they are doing.

Can I ask who the company is, we need to get in touch and stop spreading this sort of advice, which can only increase, not solve the problems on a site.

1 - When you say "Articles, you mean articles, or do you a property?
2 - How are links to property created? I mean, where they be found? only through search?
3 - This sample URL, 2015091044/holiday-rentals-tenerife/holiday-apartment-rental-in-tenerife-victoria-court-los-cristianos-popular-complex-with-heated-pool.html, has an Itemid=157, which is that of the home page and the reason why it is displayed with home page modules by Joomla.
Do you have a setting in your BT Property extension to select an Itemid?

[EDIT]I quickly looked in the Search property module, and they do have the option to select an Itemid to display results (http://www.xxxx.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_modules&view=module&layout=edit&id=146). That's what you want to use. Then you can delete those wrong URLs from sh404SEF URL manager, so that new ones are recreated.

Thank you for your fast reply.

Unfortunately i did follow their advice, but i don't think it affected me too much since i only have a few articles.

The display problem is only with the articles, not with the properties.
The properties are displayed correctly, all the new articles have the template of the homepage. I did try removing duplicates, but it won't help.

Tried adding an article to a category, didn't help.

See here:
http://www.xxxx.com/table/holiday-rentals-tenerife/
First we have the design of the homepage and as we scroll down we can see the content.

Vs one of the old articles: http://www.xxxx.com/2015051919/about-lupain-properties-tenerife/about-lupain-properties-tenerife.html

I purchased the theme from themeforest:

Thank you for your support,
Alex

Hi

OK, understand, themeforest is going to be hard to budge, big company.

As explained above, this is an Itemid issue. If we only look at this URL:

2015091044/holiday-rentals-tenerife/holiday-apartment-rental-in-tenerife-victoria-court-los-cristianos-popular-complex-with-heated-pool.html

it has an Itemid=157, that of the home page which is why whe homepage module and template is used.

(all your articles links have Itemid=157).

So the question is still the same:

How are those links created? how does a user reach that page (2015091044/holiday-rentals-tenerife/holiday-apartment-rental-in-tenerife-victoria-court-los-cristianos-popular-complex-with-heated-pool.html)?
Do you have a menu item to it? Do they reach it from another page? where?

Rgds
