I have a problem. I run a site with Yootheme tamplate and want to use sh404SEF but everytime a turn it on the 'Home' stops beeing frontpage. If I click on 'Home' in the menu I get to the real frontpage but if I go to http://xxxx.dk/ it loads wrong. Like all the moduels do not load ... strange.

It had to turn sh404SEF off because it looks bad. Let me know it I should turn it on so you can see what I meen.

Hope you can help :-)

Hi

That's not uncommon with template makers hardcoding home page into a wrong link. It also depends on your menu structure.
Please provide us with superadmin credentials to your website so that we can review your menu items. You can create a temporary account, and delete it afterwards, but it must have superuser level.

Thanks and regards

Hi

1 - Do you leave /index.php/ in URLs for a purpose?

2 - I did the following:

- enabled sh404SEF
- checked that indeed frontend homepage is not the correct one
- went to sh404SEF URL manager: there's only one URL there /cart.html, a com_zoolanders URL
Not a single sh404SEF has been created!

Usually, this is when you have some full page caching on, so I disabled sh404SEF and went to clear the cache. I get this: https://weeblr.com.png

At this stage, I can only say that sh404SEF is not even requested to create any URL, so there's something totally wrong. It seems to be related to caching, but I can't say where that comes from.

Any idea why you get that caching problem?

Strange! Now I have done some things :- ) Not sure what (reinstall and so on) but I think it works can you give it a try again?

No index.php/ should not be there :-)

Thanks

So the easy thing first:

I have removed the /index.php/ in sh404SEF. That's one of the only 4 settings on main control panel: https://weeblr.com/images/screenshots/RZYZrkOarAwOQaoGuDBwi24sqhAke8.png

Now I can see that url are created and I don't know either what you did.

I can see some strange thing still:

1 - There is a language configuration problem on your site. I think that's the reason the URL in URL manager are wrong: https://weeblr.com.png
The language information that sh404SEF requires (even if your site is not multilingual) are missing.

This is because your site has Danish as default language, but in "Content" language, you don't have Danish, you only have "English". see: https://weeblr.com.png

Can you fix that?

Then you will absolutely have to update to latest sh404SEF, and then purge URLs and see how it goes.
