Hi all,
During a routine security audit yesterday, I uncovered two critical vulnerabilities in 4Analytics, our private analytics extension.
While the issues will not be triggered on all websites, they can lead to an entire website takeover by attackers and therefore require an immediate update to 4Analytics version 5.0.2, released today.
Do not wait; update immediately.

Hi all,
In its last major release, version 7, 4SEO has just gained a new configuration panel called AI search.
Unfortunately, there are many "AI search features" being promoted by various Joomla extensions, when in fact AI search isn't really a thing in itself, at least concerning your website.
Still, there are a few use cases where we can implement technical solutions on the site. That's why 4SEO now fully supports generating Markdown versions of your website pages, as well as creating an llms.txt file.
And then there's also the Content Signals policy, which may or may not become a standard, but we are supporting it for now.

Hi all,
We've just had new major releases for all our extensions, so I thought a quick post was in order to provide a bit of background.
In software development, major releases (from 1.x to 2.x, from 2.x to 3.x, etc.) are for when something, well, major changes. Many times, as is the case with the Joomla project itself, a major release happens when some things are broken compared to the previous major version.
I avoid at all costs breaking "backward compatibility" as it's called, so for me, the major change was about refreshing my extensions' user interface. Of course, there's more, including a few 4SEO features for AI search.

Hi all,
I just released 4AI version 7.0 and wanted to share why it deserved a full new version number instead of being "just" an improvement over version 6.1. After all, reading the changelog, you would think it only adds support for a few new AI models from Google and OpenAI, not that much of a deal, right?
Well the new image model in 4AI 7.0 makes quite a change: first, the name! Nano Banana, how do they come up with such names? it's in fact called Gemini 2.5 Flash Image but yes, Nano Banana sounds way better.
But what is really better is what this model brings to the table for image creationg and manipulation. We had to rebuild 4AI image tab to get up to what's possible with it, hence the major version change. Let's see what you can do now...

Hi all,
I'm not very keen on end-of-year posts, but I do feel that this time it's worth looking back a bit, and more importantly, also looking forward. So here I go, 2025 and 2026 from my perspective as a Joomla SEO and content extensions developer.
A lot. But I think I can easily break it down into two parts: development and community:
At a time when it may appear (some) developers are moving away from Joomla, I think it’s important to remember that many of us are not going anywhere.
2025 was a very busy year in terms of development and releases. I had never done this before, but today I took the time to just count releases throughout 2025: a total of 37 new releases across 8 extensions:
| App | Releases |
| 4Analytics | 10 |
| 4SEO | 7 |
| 4Command | 6 |
| 4AI | 5 |
| 4SEF | 4 |
| 4Podcast | 2 |
| 4Logs | 2 |
| 4Video | 1 |
Importantly, most of these were feature releases, bringing in new functions and not just mere bug fixes or small adjustments.
