Hello,

We're pleased to announce the release of SEOInfo version 2.0.1. This is a feature version which now uses the latest Google structured data testing tool. Due to this change, we also modified the way structured data validation is performed: instead of validating each page upon loading it in your browser, you should now manually trigger a validation on the Structured data tab of SEOInfo popup.

Here are the highlights:

  • Switched to validating structured data on demand instead of automatically
  • Updated Structured data validator URL
  • Changed structured data testing tool link in popup Structured data tab
  • When JSON-LD structured data on a page uses the @graph property, undefined is displayed instead.
  • Extension fails to display content if one of the HReflang references is invalid due to canonicalization error.

Please see this page for a full changelog. This release has just been sent to the various browsers extension stores. Your browser will update to it automatically when accepted, however some stores will require a few days before accepting the update while other may update immediately.

Best regards

Hello,

We're pleased to announce the release of 4SEO version 1.2.2. This is a maintenance release with multiple improvements and a few fixes.

Here are the highlights:

  • Added analysis option to bypass external caching systems such as CDN or server-level caching
  • Added sitemap exclusions/exclusions lists with wildcards characters
  • Now also crawling local links found in hreflang link elements
  • Now also collecting links when they have a target=_blank attribute, despite this not being good practice
  • Store display parameters per tab, with a global storage as well for when browser is closed
  • More efficient Joomla structured data cleanup
  • Also clean Joomla invalid structured data for logged-in users
  • Added pagination option to show 50 items per page
  • Now using weather-themed icons to signal OK/Warning/Error status in messages instead of just colors
  • Added status role to messages on dashboard and other places
  • 2 columns dashboard notifications layout for wider screens
  • Now showing a dashboard message if an Analysis reset is needed after an update.
  • Some system errors are now shown as one-off errors instead of being hidden under the notification icon.
  • Added attribute to soft cron noscript image to prevent mod_pagespeed to 'optimize' - and break - it
  • Added data-speed-no-transform attribute to some script and pixel images, prevents 'optimization' by JoomUnited Speed Cache extension
  • Moved compact mode button to sidebar, next to dark/light theme switcher
  • User set values for whether a page is canonical and sitemap inclusion can be forgotten if that page is recrawled after it has been modified in some way
  • Structured data and Open Graph meta data were not output if no address was provided for default organization
  • Latitude and longitude were inverted in automatic geo-location
  • Cannot type in Website home address in settings without one or more / symbols being inserted by 4SEO automatically
  • The ~ character required to enter regular expressions in page address exclusions/inclusions was not allowed in some input fields
  • Redirects, replacer and other SEO rules hits were not recorded
  • Long standing issue where 2 alert messages could be displayed at the same time and not be dismissed.
  • CRON job request URL obtained with the Copy button in System configuration is incorrect

Please see this page for a full changelog. This release is immediately available both from the download area and using the one-click Joomla! updater of your web site.
