I want to use sh404sef only for K2 articles i don't want them for Joomla articles, is this standard by default scared to check incase i overwrite a k2 article. I still want to add standard Joomla articles for detail additional sources but i don't want them as main sefs just standard old-school urls
.
Is this by default or do i need to disable something, i still want to keep my k2 sef sh404 alive however while disabling it for Joomla articles, can that be done?

Hi

I still want to add standard Joomla articles for detail additional sources but i don't want them as main sefs just standard old-school urls

The best option here is always to have URLs listed inside of sh404SEF and that requires sh404SEF to generated URLs for those pages.

What you can do is make sh404SEF generate URL for Joomla articles and categories that are as close as possible as the default Joomla one. No duplicate content management will happen but that's your call.

You do that by going to "By component". For "Content" component, you should select:

- 1st drop down: keep "Use default handler"

- 2nd drop down: select "Use router.php with menu item"

Then save configuration and go to the SEF URL manager

- select all Joomla content URLs and delete them using the "Delete with dupl." button so that both the main URL and the duplicates are deleted.

- purge Joomla cache

- Go back to the site home page and navigate from them to check that articles URLs are as you want them.

Best regards
