Hi Yannick,

On my sites' sh404SEF Analytics Dashboard, as well as on the summary Dashboard in the Control Panel, various graphs are showing either the error message "b.split is not a function" or "Cannot read property 'offset' of undefined". Please see attached image showing errors.

Would you please advise me what parameters I need to fix to get the dashboards functioning correctly?

Thanks, Peter

Hi

Would you please advise me what parameters I need to fix to get the dashboards functioning correctly?

Don't think this is about settings inside of sh404SEF. We first need to find out what is causing this, which extension or script on the page is breaking sh404SEF javascript.

Which exact and full error message do you get in the browser javascript console?

Which exact browser are you using?

Best regards

Hi Yannick,

There is no error message in the browser javascript console. Please see attached screenshot of the console in the Chrome browser.

I have used both Chrome and Firefox to test this and no error message in either of their consoles.

I also tried displaying the dashboard on the front-end, and same problem error occurred as the back-end.

Just in case, I also reauthorized with Google and again/still receive the You're authorized :) message.

What shall we try next?

Regards, Peter

In my previous reply, I had non-alphanumeric characters in the filename of the screenshot attachment and it was rejected by your ticket system. Here is the screenshot with the filename corrected.

Hi Peter,

I had non-alphanumeric characters in the filename of the screenshot attachment and it was rejected by your ticket system.

Thanks for that information, we're using Akeeba Ticket System, I'll make sure to pass the issue along to them.

As for your main issue, we have found that the error is not happening in sh404SEF but in Google Chart library. It updated to a new version and they are experiencing the problem, under undertermined conditions.

I have made a workaround by forcing sh404SEF to use the last working Google Char version insted of the latest one. You can find that version as usual in the development versions download area .

Or you can wait until they fix the problem and release an update, which sh404SEF will use as soon as they release it.

Best regards

Thanks Yannick,  SOLVED

It was a relief just to know where the source of the error lay.

Out of curiosity, not necessity nor impatience, I downloaded and installed the developer version you provided. The errors have gone and the charts have all appeared.

Thankyou for your speedy response and resolution. (The Akeeba ticket matter was not a big issue; I was just explaining why I had to send you two separate messages.)

Thanks and Regards, Peter

Hi

Out of curiosity, not necessity nor impatience, I downloaded and installed the developer version you provided. The errors have gone and the charts have all appeared.

This will probably have sorted out itself, I'm sure they'll have a new version soon that fixes the problem. By forcing sh404SEF to use the last "good" version of the library, the problem goes away.

(The Akeeba ticket matter was not a big issue; I was just explaining why I had to send you two separate messages.)

It is actually a very good information because we had several users with this issue, apparently with no reason and nobody was ever capable to identifying why a few users were not able to upload images while most could with not issue. Now we know and can submit that to Akeeba so that they can fix the problem. Thanks again.

Best regards
