Hi
This is expected and because a URL with a query string is a different URL than one without. We automatically strip well known query variables such as Facebook fbclid or Analytics utm_xxx variables.
In which situation does your home page have query string and what query string is that exactly?

Hi Yannick,
I have a number of domain names that redirect to my homepage through my domain registrar. The URL is something like this:
https://www.xxxx.net/?isc=PLPPT02003&isRedirect=1
Thanks
Hi
Are those URLs public? Where can visitors find them? from old domains or such?
If those URLs public, you are creating a log of duplicate content for your home page and maybe other URLs.
So to fix both issues, I think the best approach is to redirect all similar URLs to your home page. You'll get the assigned meta data and you'll get rid of the duplicate content issue this creates.
Under "Aliases", click "New" and enter:
Type: 301 Redirect
Alias: /?{*}
Target: /
This will redirect any request to your home page with a query string to your home page without a query string. Make sure this does not cause adverse effects for your site features.
Also, if those redirects from your registrar target not only your home page but other pages on your site, we might want another redirect rules for that.
