Is there a conflict between JA K2 Filter and sh404SEF?
For some reason my it looks like JA K2 Filter keeps overiding the SEF urls that made created.

Here are some examples:
It should display:
https://www.xxxx.com/search/dancers
https://www.xxxx.com/search/performers
https://www.xxxx.com/search/celebrity-look-alikes

But this what is being displayed:
https://www.xxxx.com/search/dancers?orders[hits]=hits&rating=1|5&issearch=1
https://www.xxxx.com/search/performers?orders[hits]=hits&rating=1|5&issearch=1
https://www.xxxx.com/search/celebrity-look-alikes?orders[hits]=hits&rating=1|5&issearch=1

Please let me know.
Thank you

Hi

It should display:

https://www.xxxx.com/search/dancers

What do you say it should display that?

/search/dancers?orders[hits]=hits&rating=1|5&issearch=1

That looks exactly what a filter extension should display, they have multiple parameters to do exactly that, filter with more criteria than a regular search.

/search/dancers is just the URL for searching for the word "dancers", that is the regular Joomla search, not the filter output.

The display you see is not form a search result, the display you see is the result after just clicking on any of the main top links on the site.

When I use to click on any of those links before it would display only the link name:
example:
xxxx.com/dancers
xxxx.com/performers
xxxx.com/celebrity-look-alikes

But now is displays:
https://www.xxxx.com/search/dancers?orders[hits]=hits&rating=1|5&issearch=1
https://www.xxxx.com/search/performers?orders[hits]=hits&rating=1|5&issearch=1
https://www.xxxx.com/search/celebrity-look-alikes?orders[hits]=hits&rating=1|5&issearch=1

Do you see what I mean?

Hi

When I use to click on any of those links before it would display only the link name:

And the links at the top of your site are still the same, for instance

/search/dancers

So it seems those links at the top are indeed search results, the link itself is a menu item for a search.

But now is displays:

It does not "displays", it does a redirect to another page, namely /search/dancers?orders[hits]=hits&rating=1|5&issearch=1

So it seems like your filter extension is indeed hijacking your links and it does a redirect to another page with more filtering options. That redirect is not something sh404SEF is doing and it has no bearing on it.

The first things you need to do to be sure are:

1. Just disable that plugin to see if the original behavior is maintained, ie when clicking on the Dancers link you 're not redirected with the more complex link

2. What is the non-SEF URL recorded in sh40SEF SEF URL manager for the /search/dancers link?

Here it is:
Non-SEF url  index.php?option=com_k2&id=25&lang=en&task=category&view=itemlist

I disabled the plugin but it didn't change the results, I thought it maybe a cache issue and cleared the browser cache but that did not change the restults either. I re-enabled the plugin.

Hi

OK, the URL is normal and expected. I don't see how this is related to sh404SEF though, unless you have changed some settings under the BY component tab of sh404SEF configuration. I can inspect your configuration if you provide superadmin credentials, but again, that's not coming from sh404SEF.

I have not change any settings but you are welcom to take a look.
You can use this to get into the back end:
u: xxxx
p: xxxx

Thank you

Hi

Yep, spend some time looking around, it's just how the plugin works. It's the plugin doing that redirect and I don't know why it does not do it when sh404SEF is disabled but I suspect it's only supposed to work with Joomla SEF.

Note that:

1. I have experienced a number of "bad gateway" errors while checking, seems like the hosting is having a bit of a hardtime to handle the load

2. It's hard to check changes because Siteground caching is enabled (maybe because of the load) so even when changing settings, nothing happens on the frontend

3. At the end, the URL you use here does not matter as they won't be indexed by search engines anyway.

Hi

Up to you. Again, those URLs don't matter, they won't and should no be indexed.
