Hi,

I'm using sh404SEF since a long time and I never had to post a ticket, because I had always find by myself  a solution (forum or deep dig in configuration)
But this time, I don't understand what happen.

I've created a Menu Item in my Main Menu that should display Archived Articles (Articles -> Archived articles) and this URL isn't rewrited while others link are well rewrited !

The generated URL is : index.php?option=com_content&Itemid=507&catid[0]=&lang=fr&view=archive

I tried to manually create the URL in the SEF URLs manager, but my custom rewrited URL is not used.

Can you help me ?

Thank you !

Don't hesitate to ask!

That is correct, we don't rewrite those URLs: as they are archive, they don't have any value at all and would use some database space without any merit.

I tried to manually create the URL in the SEF URLs manager, but my custom rewrited URL is not used.

That should work fine if you click the "New" button and enter:

SEF: something

non-sef: index.php?option=com_content&Itemid=507&catid[0]=&lang=fr&view=archive

The non-sef should include the Itemid and it should be the id of the menu item.

Hi Yannick,

Thank you for your quick reply.

Don't hesitate to ask!

To be honest, I've never seen that I had a support ticket included !

Yup, that works ! But the "Archived articles" adds a "year" and "month" in the URL, so I suppose that I need to manually create a custom SEF URL for those. Or to not use this module and only make a link to the "Archive" page.

Thank you so much, you're making a great work !

Hi

But the "Archived articles" adds a "year" and "month" in the URL,

Yes, that's why I was saying you can end up with many URLs in the database if you do it "properly", that is if you create full SEF URLs for each case.

so I suppose that I need to manually create a custom SEF URL for those.

Yes, if you want those links to be SEF.

Or to not use this module and only make a link to the "Archive" page.

Really there's no issue with having non-sef URLs. Or having "partial" SEF URL like /archive?month=11&year=2019

To be honest, I've never seen that I had a support ticket included !

That's supposed to be half of what you get for the price or so, that is most people are here for the support!

Best regards
