Hello,

I get lost with the management of my multilingual site and sh404sef.

First of all, in each secondary language link, I have the language code that appears while the parameter of the Language filter plugin 'Remove the language code from the URL' is set to YES and that, in the SEO parameters , the parameter 'URL rewriting in clear' is also set to YES. So I don't have this fr/ for the base language.

My other problem is related to sh4040sef. In the SEF URLs menu, I renamed my different links with a more 'talking' link (example: design-fr by creation-design-personalise)

In all links for the base language (FR), this works without any problems. On the other hand, for all the links of the other languages, impossible to make function that that I leave or not the en/ of the beginning of the link.

Who would have a little time to devote to me to explain to me where my problem comes from?

That seems normal: Joomla only removes the language code for the default language. All other languages must have a language code, that's how Joomla recognize which language should be used for the page. Note this is not specific to sh404SEF, you'd have the same with just Joomla standard SEF URLs.

That would seem like the same problem. If you remove the language code at the start, Joomla cannot operate.

On a multilingual Joomla site, all pages must have a language code at the start. The only exception is pages for the default language which can be without a language code, if you enable the corrsponding setting in the language filter system plugin.
