 Bonjour,

Depuis la dernière mise à jour, le message suivant apparait quelques secondes au niveau de Google Analytics :

Error fetching data for analytics reports (2): SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data

J'ai revu l'ensemble des informations et ne vois pas où se trouve le souci.

Pouvez-vous m'indiquer où se situe le problème ?

Confinement votre,

Hi

First, we can only provide support in the English language. Please be kind to make your requests in that language only.

As for your issue:

1 - Make sure you have the absolute latest version, 4.20.2
2 - Purge all joomla caches
3 - IF you use analytics and want to display reports, perform the Google analytics authorization procedure again, as Google nows requires the use of their API version 4 and do not accept previous credentials. See this video for a how-to.

Best regards

Sorry for my French, I though you speaks French.

1- I have the latest version 4.20.2 installed
2- Joomla caches are purged
3- After having setting several times the Google Analytics procedure, I still don't see any statistics displaying up in sh404SEF...

Any suggestion to fix that?

Thank you!

Hi

I do speak french but we can't provide support in anything else than English because I'd be the only one able to do it. In addition, this would prevent us to later on remove private information and be able to make some tickets public for the information of all others users. In other words, we'd probably have to start charging for support if we were to provide support in all languages we can handle.

As for your issue: If this is the message that you see, then it means an error is happening on the server. You can't see a proper error message because the error caused the message to be garbled.

If your're familiar with that, you can use the browser developer tools, on the network tab and check the "XHR" requests: looking at the response will show an actual error most likely.
If not, I can do that check for you, you'll have to provide us with superadmin credentials to your website. You can create a temporary account, and delete it afterward, but it must have superuser level.

Thanks and regards

Hi,
Please find attached a screen copy with information that I see.
It's maybe a problem that doesn't come from sh404SEF itself, but I guess you'll understand more than me what's happened.
Hope this will help you to see what's going on.
If not please let me know I'll create you a superuser account if you think it's better for you to check.

Thanks

Hi

Nothing was attached to your post so I guess maybe a superadmin account may help at this point.

Hi

Thanks for that. Please provide the superadmin creds so that we can look deeper.
One question: is there any actual data recorded for that Analytics account? it looks like it's working actually but no data is available and that may trigger a bug (ie I have not tested with an "empty" analytics account).

Hi,

I have created a superuser account for you:
admin access link: https://www.xxxx.fr/administrator/index.php?Le=Journal
login: xxxx
pass: xxxx

See attached a screen capture of Google Analytics page of this website. You'll see that stats are there.

Thanks

Hi

So here's what's happening: you have defined 2 views in your Google Analytics account for that property ID:

One has data and the other one is empty. However the empty one is the 1st, default one and that's what you see. If you use the selector at the bottom of the Analytics page, you can switch to your main view and see all your data.

If you're not using that view, I'd suggest deleting it so that the "main" view becomes the 1st and default one. Currently sh404SEF does not allow selecting a default view - although this can be done with a little bit of code added in a filter. If you can delete the empty view, it'd be simpler and more reliable I think.

Hi

Glad it's sorted out! Closing this ticket now, feel free to open a new one as needed. If you do so, please mention this ticket number in the new one.

If you created any superadmin account for us, be sure to delete or block it now to avoid unnecessary risk in the future.

Be sure to also check out wbAMP, our Accelerated Mobiles pages plugin for Joomla - without AMP, you're missing out on mobile visitors!
