I have had conflicts with the shlib plugin and extensions I use from https://www.joomlack.fr. I enabled the debug log and see a message of:
Weeblr\Sh404sef\Model\Analytics::getAndCacheViewList::240: Analytics: fetching views list at: https://www.googleapis.com/analytics/v3/management/accountSummaries
I do not use the analytics part of the extension.
Since I had installed sh404sef right before I was to go live with the most current site, I wondered if the plugin order made any difference so I have tried to change the order of shlib plugin as well as the plugins installed with the Pagebuilder CK extension I am having troubles with right now, but it didn't solve the issue.

what can I do ?

Hi,

The analytics errors are fine, you probably enabled the display of analytics reports without entering the needed settings and doing the authorization procedure. Simply disable Reports display under the Analytics tab of sh404SEF configuration

As for the "conflict", shLib has been around for more than 10 years so conflict are rare. The fact that disabling shLib makes the problem go away does not mean shLib caused the problem.

Note that by disabling it, you disabled sh404SEF and therefore all the urls on your site changed.

In my experience, 99% of those errors that go away when SEF urls are disabled come from relative links to JavaScript files.

To go further, I will need:

- full urls of a page where the problem can be seen
- detailed instructions on how to reproduce
- a superadmin account (can be temporary)

Best regards

thank you for looking. I sometimes add sh404sef right at the site launch and all was fine until I added it

Hi

Ah ok, this is in the backend! I understand better now. What's broken here is the title and description characters counters. CKBuilder is changing the edit page and removes/adds/change the edit fields and it breaks sh404SEF. I'm sure we can detect that and prevent the breakage. I'll look into it and get back to you.

Hi again

So this is actually not really related to CKBuilder. This is happening because of the Edit screen configuration. Because "Show publishing options" is set to "No" on your site, the page title and meta description fields are removed, which cause the error. I've never found anyone hiding those fields so I guess that's why it went under the radar all those years.

I'll add a check for that to avoid the error and let you know. In the mean time, you can simply set "Show publishing options" to Yes to fix the problem.

Hi

Just made a new version with a check for this specific configuration option. You can download it from the development versions download area or just wait until next public version. As mentioned above, you can make the error go away by enabling "Show publishing options".

Out of curiosity, can I ask why you disabled this? to make the user interface simpler for your users? Because you rely on sh404SEF automatic descriptions?

thank you thank you thank you - I never would have found this. I complete honesty, I have no idea how/why the "Show publishing options" was disabled- I am just over the moon that you were able to find this since I love sh404sef and my pagebuilder.

Hi

I have no idea how/why the "Show publishing options" was disabled-
To be honest, this was a discovery to me as well: I did not realized this was added to Joomla. I have no idea why anyone would want to remove the inputs for meta description and so on. Really weird. I guess sometimes you want to make it as simple a screen as possible.

Anyway, it was definitely a bug in sh404SEF that it would not handle gracefully that situation, so that's fixed now, thanks to your report!

Closing this ticket now, feel free to open a new one as needed. If you do so, please mention this ticket number in the new one.

If you created any superadmin account for us, be sure to delete or block it now to avoid unnecessary risk in the future.
