 Dear Weeblr Team,

I tried to fix the problem by myself, but I couldn't find the solution.

The 404 error page only appers for example on:
https://xxxx.de/produkte/123xyz

or

https://www.xxxx.de/erfahrungen/123xyz

If i type a wrong URL in the root path no error page appears. Instead it redirects to Homepage:

for example:

https://www.xxxx.de/123xyz

Could you provide some help here, please?

Best regards,

Can

Hi

This is happening because of one of the following settings change:

1 - You enabled 301 redirect from Joomla SEF to sh404SEF (under Advanced)
2 - At least one component is set to "Use Joomla router" under the By component tab

Most likely it's the 1st setting. Change it back to its default value and that should solve the problem.

Best regards

Hi Yannick,

thanks for the quick response.

I tried disabling 301 redirect from Joomla SEF to sh404SEF (under Advanced), but that didn't solved the problem.

I have a Component named "Wordpress for Joomla by corePHP" in the "By component" Tab with setting "Use Joomla Router." But we need this settings to work with the URL routing of Wordpress in Joomla.

Is there another possibility?

Best regards,

Can

Hi,

Instead it redirects to Homepage:

for example:

https://www.xxxx.de/123xyz

I just checked and I don't see any redirect happening. So indeed the 1st setting (301 redirect from Joomla SEF to sh404SEF) would have no effect in that case (that's too bad because I was just working on an improvement that allows this setting to be enabled while retaining proper 404 handling)

As no redirect is happening, this is indeed the Joomla router thinking that URL is valid and I cannot think of any way within sh404SEF to make this work at the moment. I'll try and see if the algorithm used to improve the 1st setting can also be applied to having a component "Use Joomla router" and will post back.

Best regards

Hi again

Well as it happens, I was able to port the new algorithm used for redirecting Joomla SEF URLs to sh404SEF URLs automatically to how we use Joomla router for some components.

So in my testing, this all works fine now and 404s are properly triggered even if one of the component is using Joomla router. Are you able to test this? if so, I can provide you with the soon-to-be next version. Would be good to have other testers for this and there are not that many people enabling "Use Joomla router" on their site!

Let me know and I'll provide you with the new version.

Best regards

Hi Can,

Thanks for that! You can download the latest dev version from this temporary folder (no login required).

No further change is needed to solve your issue. Please report anything out of usual that you see.

Also note that this is a feature release, it has the new Google Analytics reports, with a new design, more information and access in the backend as before, but also from the front end (for site owner access for instance). You may want to give it a try as well if you're interested!

Best regards
