Hi,

I have an issue with 404 on sh404sef.
Site: www.xxxx.com
sh404sef 4.19
Joomla 3.9.14

/[anything] redirects to home, does not get recorded
/shop/[anything] does not get recorded, seems be caught by virtuemart and does say it is a 404
/blog/[anything] works as it should

Hi

This is most likely happening because either:

- you enabled "301 redirect from Joomla SEF to sh404SEF" under "Advanced" tab of sh404SEF configuration
- at least one component is set to "Use Joomla route" under "By component" tab of sh404SEF configuration.

When you do that, in case of 404 the Joomla router is triggered to try decode the URL and unfortunately the Joomla router accepts many URls it should not.
Restore those setting to their defaults and it should be back to normal.

Hi Yannick,

Indeed the "301 redirect from joomla SEF to sh404SEF"was enabled and disabling it solved the issue.
