I also need to maintain the URLs as is in the live site, for all Joomla articles and blog layout so as to be the menu alias.html
(articlesurl-needed.jpg).
Now the URL is the title of the menu (articlesurl.jpg), not the alias.
I was checking the Extension > Joomla but still cannot figure out how to customize it. Could you please check joomla-settings.jpg whether I am doing something wrong?
For the articles URL to be /category/article-alias.html

Also changing Use Title Alias to YES didn´t change anything.

Hi

Using menu items to build URLs is something very wrong in Joomla and one of the reasons sh404SEF was built was NOT to do that. Instead we use article categories and aliases, things that do not change depending on how you navigate to an article. In other words, with sh404SEF, you are certain that a given article always have the same URL and duplicate content SEO issues are impossible.

If you do not want that and want to force sh404SEF to have the same URLs as before there are 2 solutions:

1 - Depending on the number of URLs involved, you can manually customize them from the SEF URL manager to be the same as before

2 - If not doable, you can go to sh404SEF under the By Component tab, scroll down to Content and select on this line:

After that, delete all the undesired URLs and navigate to your site homepage so that the URLs are recreated.

OK done.
I followed your instructions and also had to set Use Title Alias back to NO and purge all Sef URLs.
You can also close this ticket.

Hi

Glad it's sorted out! Closing this ticket now, feel free to open a new one as needed. If you do so, please mention this ticket number in the new one.

If you created any superadmin account for us, be sure to delete or block it now to avoid unnecessary risk in the future.

Be sure to also check out wbAMP, our Accelerated Mobiles pages plugin for Joomla - without AMP, you're missing out on mobile visitors!
