 Hi there.
My client is finishing the english version of this new web. Than I jump in and will clone it (and translate) it into the other 9 languages.
Now my question is the following. My client has your component rsseo and sh404sef for which he paid for as well. Which component is better to tag the articles and give them their respective description. Which one will be "better" for the search console when i provide a xml for the sitemap?

Which of the 2 components will give a better / more powerfull indexation, please bear in mind that i really would like that iti would be indexed in all these languages.
Can you give me a clear reply and maybe with some clean examples so I now how to proceed, please?

Hoping on a clear and detailed reply from your end.
Regards,
Paco

Hi Paco,

RSSEO is from from RSJoomla not us, so I won't comment much on it.

Which component is better to tag the articles and give them their respective description.
I'm not sure what specifically mean by "tag', this means different things to different people.
In terms of meta description, sh404SEF will let you add a custom meta description on every page of your site. If you choose to not do that, then it will compute automatically a meta description. We recommend writing custom description for each piece of content but if you have many, and in many languages, that may be difficult so in that case automatically generating meta description can be a big advantage.

Please note however that meta description is not used at all for ranking your content (at least by Google and Bing) so this won't help you rank better. It will certainly you help have more clicks in some cases though which is why it is recommended to have good descriptions.

Which one will be "better" for the search console when i provide a xml for the sitemap?
Not sure what you are talking about here. sh404SEF does not generate sitemaps. You can use any sitemap extension or an external sitemap generate and submit that. I don't see any relationship between your sitemap, search console and either RSSEO or sh404SEF.

Which of the 2 components will give a better / more powerfull indexation,
Again, depeinds what you call "indexation". If you really mean indexation, that is how much of your site search engines will "read", analyze and stored in their index, then RSSEO will not have any effect on that. sh404SEF may have a positive effect on indexation in case your site has some amount of duplicate content issues (most Joomla sites have even though that's not visible).
However, indexation problems are really for large sites, above several thousands of pages at least. Less than that, search engines should be able to index your site properly.
Indexation is more related to having a proper structure, navigation structure, etc than anything extensions can do.

with some clean examples so I now how to proceed, please?
sh404SEF will automatically make sure you have no duplicate content issues on your site. It will make sure a meta description and a proper page title is generated if you do not provide any. It will add some structured data automatically when possible, same for OGP data, Twitter cards, sharing buttons if you want.
All those are out of the box, there's really no configuration to do.

To go any further, you need to analyze your site content, your site navigation, how pages can be discovered by crawlers. This is the job of an SEO consultant and is 100% on your site. The above advice are generic, you do need to work on the SEO, on writing the content and on sharing the content (social networks, newsletter,...) to get good results.
