 Hello,

Without modifying the website, there is a moment that anypage of the frontend shows this error:

0 - syntax error, unexpected ''07fcfcc85b9980d2c80b884d1' (T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE), expecting ']'

and

0 - syntax error, unexpected end of file, expecting ']'

If we disable SH404SEF, the problem disapears (and viceversa)
(as you can see here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nqI8zJUacSJZmcGAye8q0s4xNspF8hsC/view )

If we purge all SEF URLs. the problema disapears, but in 24 hours aprox. the problem comes back.

Any idea?

It is a Multilanguage Joomla all updated.

Hi

This is likely due to having enabled the "URL disk cache" under the "Advanced" tab of sh404SEF configuration. If the server is not able to cope with the required writing speed then the cache can become corrupted and such errors may appear.

The fix is simply to disable that option.

Best regards

Oh, I understand. We have migrated from another server sometime ago, so it is posible this.

But, the page load time is very important for us, so instead of "disable this option", i think two possible options:

1. Can we configure the shlib plugin in some way to avoid this?

2. or better, I can ask my host provider to improve my hosting resources. Which is "the required writing speed" or the "required resources" from the server we should have?

Thank you in advanced

Hi

I would suggest you first test this. This is an old option, from a time where MYSQL servers where so slow that it was really useful. We actually plan on just removing in the future.

1. Can we configure the shlib plugin in some way to avoid this?
You can switch to using memcached instead of file for caching, if your hosting provides you with a memcache server

2 -
Which is "the required writing speed" or the "required resources" from the server we should have?
There are no such thing. It depends on your traffic basically?

Again, I would really just test this instead on embarking on a a costly change in hosting. It's definitely not worth it unless you loose 0.50 seconds or more - which i doubt.
There are far more better things to do such as working on Joomla caching for instance.

Best regards

Oh, thanks for so quick reply.

In this case, I disable it.
