#5993 – Generated sh404sef urls arent in the generated sitemap?

An external sitemap maker will collect the URLs as it finds them on your site. So the question is more: are the sh404SEF generated URLs those found on your site?

Well then that's the source of the issue:

1 - What's the site URL?
2 - Are you running sh404SEF with default settings, just enabled "URL optimization"? if not what did you change?

No, the generated urls are working, but when i generate a sitemap, they arent in the sitemap

I'm not asking if the URLs are working. I'm asking if the URLs in question are used on your website. What are the URLs in the menus or in the content? are they the Joomla SEF ones or the sh404SEF ones?

Not before I know what the full and real URLs are, so that I can have a look first, as we need to understand how you setup both sh404SEF and most importantly your site.

We need at least one example of full and real URLs you are talking about.

In the menus they are joomla sef (which are always in the sitemap instead of the sh404sef ones).

Then there's a major problem here in the site setup. Again, we cannot discuss before we have the full URL of the site.

So the 1st thing is that when going to sh404SEF control panel, you had a large warning "URL recording is enabled". This should not be enabled on a live site. It's a debugging feature that can store a lot of data in your database, again, it should not be enabled on a live site.

Then, I took for example the "WEBSEITEN" menu item at the top.

- this menu item is a category blog, for category #56, category "Webseiten"

- The URL that this menu links to is:

/webseiten-ostbelgien-aachen

- In sh404SEF, the is URL is recorded and it goes to the correct category:



So this menu item seems to be showing the correct URL, the sh404SEF URL, as it should.

So can you please now fully describe the problem and give me a full example of of a menu item or any link that has a "Joomla SEF" URL and where sh404SEF has a different URL?

what i dont understand is, my sitemap has 44 urls and google has found 41 urls.

In sh404sef i have 134 urls

That's totally fine, normal and expected. It actually means sh404SEF is fully working and protecting your site. Joomla creates multiple duplicates for your pages. It's one of sh404SEF to make sure search engines don't see all those duplicates but only one URL for each page.
