I have a menu item that points to a category blog view and I have been trying to get rid of the categories from the page title. I just want the menu item title in the page title. I have selected None under Extensions-SEO-Show category in title, but it doesn't work. How can I get this to work?

First, please always provide a link to the site and more specifically a single page where the problem occurs.
To get the title you want, you can:
- just enter it in your Joomla menu item settings as is usual with Joomla, ie under the "Browser Page Title"
- or enter it in sh404SEF, in the SEF URL manager, in that page URL options.

I just want the menu item title in the page title.We do not use menu items in any way for Joomla content, neither in URLs nor in page title or so. URLs and page titles are extracted from the articles themselves so as not to vary when the same content is linked - consciously or not - from different menu items.

Extensions-SEO-Show category in titleThis setting is only for articles, not category blog view. On category views, all nested categories are used to avoid possible conflicts.
To get the title you want, you can:
