 Hello,

If I look at our pages at google you can see that the category is not nicely placed in the title bar. In fact, the entire category can be left here. How can we solve this?

Thank you!

Hi

We cannot comment on what Google uses as a title, it's their own choosing and processing. We (and you) canon only look at what's on your site.

sh404SEF builds the title using:

- an optional prefix
- the article title
- the title of one or more of the categories of that article. Multiple categories are separated by default by |
- an optional suffix

[This page] for instance has a title of

<title>SKIPP Film & Animation | Employer branding|Film & Animatie|</title>

Are those various parts categories? did you add a suffix or prefix? did you change the "Separator" setting?

Best regards

Hi,

Thanks for your quick response!

<title>SKIPP Film & Animation | Employer branding|Film & Animatie|</title>

SKIPP Film & Animation > is the website title

Employer branding > is the page title (article title)

Film & Animatie > is the categorie

The categorie can removed so Google is not seeing this

We did not add a suffix or prefix.

I don't think we changed the separator setting but I can't find it

Thank you in advance!

Best regards

Hi

SKIPP Film & Animation > is the website title
THe website title is not used by sh404SEF to build an article title. Did you add it as a prefix in sh404SEF settings?

We did not add a suffix or prefix.
Then something else is happening because sh404SEF does not use the site title.

There are 2 configuration areas related to this:

1 - Under "SEO" -> "Page title":

2 - The under "Extensions" -> "Joomla" - assuming those is just regular Joomla articles. Scroll down to the bottom and you can set your preferred title configuration:

Best regards
