 Hello!
I have this error in my site for ages, today I decided to take some action.
All the 404 created points to website.com/?cid=0&id=0 - If I disable sh404sef it points to the default joomla 404 page.
Tried urls generated from different components, all with the same error.

You can check at my mirror site: https://xxxx.com

Any idea what causes this?

Best,
JP

HI

They do not "point". A redirect is happening. There are several ways you can have done that:

- added a redirect with wildcard under the aliases tab
- set "301 redirect from JOomla sef to sh404SEF" to Yes. Default is No and it should stay that way
- set even just one component to "Use Joomla router" under the "By component" tab of sh404SEF.

If none of those applies, then it's not sh404SEF doing the redirect:

If I disable sh404sef it points to the default joomla 404 page.
does not mean sh404SEF is doing this. It only means the code is only ran when sh404SEF is enabled.

In that case, you should test various possibilities for the source:

- temporarily switch to one of Joomla stock template such as protostar
- disable one by one your non-joomla system plugins.

Lastly , there are several extensions which can do that such as Hikashop or Akeeba Ticket systems. They incorrectly try to redirect to a "canonical" URL.

Best regards

Fixed :)

Quite simple, the problem was here:

- - set "301 redirect from JOomla sef to sh404SEF" to Yes. Default is No and it should stay that way

Thank you :)
