I'm getting several 1146 errors when I enable SEF URLs (1146 Table XXX#_redirect_links doesn't exist).

For example, when I try to load this page:
https://www.xxxx.net/esl-idioms-worksheets.html?id=202
With SEF off, it loads fine. With SEF on, I get an 1146 error.

I'm having this problem with several pages all over my site. I can't figure out why. Any help is much appreciated.

sh404sef version: 4.15.2.3878
Joomla version: 3.9.2

Thanks

Hi

For example, when I try to load this page:

https://www.xxxx.net/esl-idioms-worksheets.html?id=202
I do not get any error loading this page, yet SEF URLs seems to be enabled.

With SEF off, it loads fine. With SEF on, I get an 1146 error.
Do you mean when enabling Joomla SEF or sh404SEF "Enable URL optimization"?

(1146 Table XXX#_redirect_links doesn't exist)
That table is not from sh404SEF, it's one of Joomla standard database tables and it should be there. Maybe you have not updated the Joomla database after doing a Joomla update?

Best regards

Ya, I meant URL optimization.
I was able to go in and create the MySQL table, and I think the problem is fixed.
So nevermind. But thanks!

Hi

Glad it's sorted out. Any idea why this table was missing?

I would recommend going to Extensions - Manage - Database and use the Fix button. You might be missing other critical Joomla database elements.

Best regards

No idea why this table went missing. I assumed it was sh404sef, but perhaps not.

When I tried to "Fix" the Database previously, I got several errors related to the table.
After adding the table, all the errors are gone and it updated with no problems.

So I think I'm good. Thanks again.

Hi

I assumed it was sh404sef, but perhaps not.
Nope, that table is 100% joomla and sh404SEF has nothing to do with it.

When I tried to "Fix" the Database previously, I got several errors related to the table.
That would be expected, Joomla totally expects this table to be present. I would assume the table was somehow deleted either manually, or during a backup/restore operation or similar.
