Is there a dowload area for old versions? A component is thowing 404 error with this new 404sef version.

Normally we do not allow downgrading, as there might be side effects in case of database structure change, but it's up to you to decide. You can download the previous version here.

Please be aware that we will be shutting down this evening until January 3, it'd be best to understand if the problem this particular has quickly!

I'm going to test on local machine before.

The problem is:
1. component without router.php
2. linked to a menu item in a hidden menu. Ex. Menu A -> submenu B linked to component
3. menu alias linked to menu item at point 2.
4. before update url mysite/A/B was working perfectly
5. after update I get 404 error
6. solved temporarly setting in 404sef component as NON SEF

Site www.xxxx.it
Menu item CONTATTI in top right corner
Others link have the same problem.

Hi

I don't see any change in this version that would be releated to that. Are you sure it's not rather related to Joomla 3.8.2/3.8.3 updates? they introduced several "bug fixes" related to the router.

I will try to reproduce with com_contact, removing the router.php file locally.

Hi,

On xxxx.it I left "NON sef" so the site is working. Where is just a 301 redirect to NON SEF url (not very good to Google Adwords and SEO).

I made a the downgrade on a local machine:

1. Joomla 3.8.2 with 404sef 4.12 works
2. Joomla 3.8.2 with 404sef 4.13 doesn't work anymore

I'm going to send you some info:

1. URL /chi-siamo (menu item CONTATTI in top right corner)
2. with joomla 3.8.2 and 404 4.12 works
3. after upgrade to 404 4.13 (still on joomla 3.8.2) it doesn' t work any more
4. when clicking on CONTATTI now I get a 301 redirect to URL /index.php?option=com_com_sogeco&Itemid= and a 404 error

com_sogeco is my component name.
com_ twice?

Hi,

upgraded Joomla and downgraded 404sef.

With Joomla 3.8.3 and 404 sef 4.12 it works

On my local machine, when I click on url CONTATTI (/chi-siamo) I can see a 301 redirect (firefox network tools) and then browser is sent to /index.php?option=com_com_sogeco&Itemid=, which is a broken link and I get 404 error.

On www.xxxx.it I temporarly solved doing this (see attachment)

Every component that I've with "Uso Joomla! router" doesn't work anymore (config -> general ->by component).
The only solution I found is to switch to "Leave as non-sef".

It doesn't depends on Joomla! Because it stopped working upgrading from 4.12 to 4.13

I tested again and all my "use Joomla router" links work fine with the current version.

One thing you can do is to disable "Redirect Joomla SEF to SEF". This is a newest feature, and maybe it has some side effects on your site.
