Hello, I manage this website : http://www.xxxx.com
and it got a BIG error on home page : Error 0 : syntax error, unexpected '<', expecting end of file

This error stops when I disable all sh404sef extensions in extension manager.
It is new : sh404sef ran perfectly during several years.

I have the last version of Joomla 3.8.3 and the last version of SH404sef
Now if you visit the site, all is right, because sh404sef extensions are presently disabled.
have you an Idea of what happened ? Do you need credentials to explore it ?

This error stops when I disable all sh404sef extensions in extension manager.

Don't do that in case of issue, just set "Enable URL optimization" to "No", this entirely disable the component. The reason is that it's easy to miss enabling back a plugin, which can then cause further pain down the road.

As for the issue itself, it is most likely caused by the URL disk cache. This can happen sometimes when the server cannot cope with the write speed required. You can delete the fault cache files with FTP, under the /components/com_sh404SEF/cache folder. A better solution is simply to disable this feature (it's now off by default on recent installations), under the Advanced tab of sh404SEF configuration.
