 Hi,

I want to delete some SEF URLs and not redirect them, so google doesn't index deleted URLs. I have new custom SEF URLs. But it seems that sh404 regenerates deleted URLs again. How can I prevent this?

Thanks.

Hi

sh404SEF does not create or regenerate URLs. Your site/extension creates all urls, under the non-sef form (index.php?option=com_xxx...). This is the only form or URL Joomla understands and use.
When joomla creates such a URL, before displaying or using it, it passes it to sh404SEF to be transformed into a SEF URL (/my-nice-page.html). What happens however is that Joomla may (will usually) creates multiple non-sef URL for the same content.
sh404SEF make sure this is not a problem by always returning the same SEF URL for the same content, even if Joomla created a slightly differnet non-sef URL for it.

If you manually customize the SEF record for one of those non-sef, you should also customize the duplicates Joomla created (and will keep creating always).
