Hi,
Please have a look at xxxx.se. On the home page there's no Page Title displayed even though I've configured everything to show it (I think). And on other pages (for ex. if you click on the envelope) the separator isn't shown.

Could you please help me figuring out what's wrong?

Well, what title did you configure, and how did you do that?

Also, maybe you disabled:

- URL optimization
or
- "Activate SEO management" (under the SEO tab of sh404SEF configuration)

Disabling either of those would prevent any SEO-related action to take place, including enhanced or custom page title.

I logged in, but things seem pretty normal. Let's just talk about the home page.

The home page is an article titled "Hem". It is stored in the "Uncategorized" category. As we compute page title based on the item title, then the page title is "Hem".

There are multiple ways to change that:

- you can change the article title, the simplest
- you can click the "Home page meta" button in the toolbar of sh404SEF backend pages, and enter here a custom title.

As for the separator, that's not how it works. The separator is used when sh404SEF computes the page title. For instance, if you article "Hem" above was in a "Golfing" category, then we would have computed the page title as "Hem | Golfing". The separator is only used for automatically computed titles.

You did use the "Append to page title" field (you entered "Mark Dewdney Golf Coach - highly personalized golf coaching" there), and this is exactly what we append to the page title:

ContactMark Dewdney Golf Coach - highly personalized golf coaching

If you wish to also have a separator there, just add it: [space]|[space]Mark Dewdney Golf Coach - highly personalized golf coaching
