I couldn't find the setting anywhere after turning on sh404. The Joomla plugins for language are all off and the /en/ wasn't part of the URL previously. Just wondering how to remove it.

Hi

sh404SEF does not add the language information, never (it has not code for that). So if you have this codes, then it means the language filter was enabled at some time, you turned it off, but did not purge URLs afterwards.

Another common situation is that this is NOT a language code, but simply you put your articles/content in a category called "en".

If not applicable, then most likely another extension is adding those and we will need a real description of the problem, with full site URLs, super user access.

It is likely the first scenario but I can't find how/where to purge the urls.

Hi

There is a large red "Purge" button in the toolbar of the sh404SEF URL manager.

ohh I thought you were referring to outside of sh404. In that case then yes i've definitely done that. I've also tried clearing the cache and turning off language plugins.

Hi

This is happening because of your language configuration. You have installed and are using an-AU (Languages -> Installed languages), but under Joomla content language (Languages -> Content Languages) you are still using En-GB, hence the discrepancy, and the fact that we consider en-AU "another language".

Fixing the content languages list and purging URLs restored the usual URLs.
