Hi can you tell me why when i put my articles in archive, the plugin return it as unpublished, so it generate many no found entries in Search console?

In french :
Bonjour, pouvez vous me dire pourquoi quand je met un article en archive, le plugin le déclare comme non publié dans joomla de sorte que cela génére de nombreuses erreurs 404?

Thanks

Hi

I cannot reproduce this on a stock Joomla install. If you set an article to "Archived", it shows up normally.

1 - Can you confirm that the article is displayed normally if you set it back to "Published"?

2 -
the plugin return it as unpublished
What do you mean by that? sh404SEF does not know if the article is published, unpublished, even if you delete it, we don't know that.

Where exactly does sh404SEF display this article as "unpublished"?

3 - The URL you show on your screenshot is strange (though not impossible). This is not the kind of URL sh404SEF will generate for an article with default settings. Did you change the default settings for URLs structure? ie add the article Id and such?

Hi thank you for your response. I've trying some manipulations but there is no changes, what is strange is i've downloaded the website database an the hole online site to try to reproduce this error in my localhost, but when i do so, every things go well. Archived URL, is visible, but in the online site, nothing has changes, wile i've trying your manipulation:

1. i've set the article back to published and cleaning all cache, but it still displaying an error 404 page

2. what i mean in 2 is that the plugin return a message as if the article was unpublished (error404, no found), while it 's in archive

3. In configurations -> Advenced : Itemid management
Here, i've setting all item on Off in order to conform with my older joomla article structure.

So this is the login : xxxx and pass: xxxx

I've moved the following article from archived to published, but it still return a no found message : http://www.xxxx.com/annonces-casting-gratuit/comedien/7481-casting-comediens-serie-le-tueur-du-lac-tourne-en-rhone-alpes

Hi

This has anything to do with the article being archived.

The reason you got a 404 is simple: the URL doesn't exist in the sh404SEF database. I did not exist because the only link to that article was on the 3rd page of the category llist: http://www.xxxx.com/annonces-casting-gratuit/comedien/

As nobody ever visited this page apparently, then the link to /annonces-casting-gratuit/comedien/7481-casting-comediens-serie-le-tueur-du-lac-tourne-en-rhone-alpes was never displayed by Joomla, and therefore never created by Joomla/sh404SEF.
Simply displaying that 3rd page created the link, which now works.
