Hi, i'm using the latest sh404SEF and Music Collection component from joomlathat.com on my multilingual website.

I've installed their sh404sef plugin and my urls are in ex: mysite.com/en/musiccollection/a/artist-name/album-name

I want to get rid of the "musiccollection" part of the url to be in ex: mysite.com/en/a/artist-name/album-name

Music Collection component has a setting to define the default home ID but that doesn't work for me as my site has 4 languages and therefore 4 home pages.

My questions are:

1- What is responsible to the musiccollection part of the url? The sh404sef component, the sh404sef plugin made from joomlathat or the Music Collection Component?

2- Is possible to remove this part of the url on all urls automatically? If not is at least possible to translate it for each language?

Hi

1 - I don't know. I have never heard of that componet before, so I can't tell what they are using. Generally speaking:

- if they made an sh404SEF plugin, this will be in charge of building URLs
- if not, then the router.php they must have done to work with Joomla SEF is used.

2 - In either case, any setting or possibility to modify the URL structure is entirely with those plugins. sh404SEF does not provide specific support for it, so we don't have any settings.

As for the translation, it depends on what sort of Multilingual system you use. sh404SEF provides support for Joomla multilingual system, and if you use that, the URLs will be translated. Well, not translated, but we use the alias, so the alias depends on the title you provide, so it should be in the right language. Of course, Music Collection may have its own translation system, in which case we are back to #1, it all depends on what they do in the plugin/router.php

If using Falang, URLs should be translated. Though we do not provide support for it, users have reported normal operation with Falang, at least with current version of it.
