 Hi,

I installed sh404sef, version is 4.8.2.3492.

I don't want to display title alias, and just want to show article id, like this:

www.xxxxxxx.com/category_alias/47.html

Can you help how to solve this problem?

Thank you!

Hi

I am afraid not, at least not automatically. We normally do not include id at all, which is the recommended way. We do have a setting to include the id, as a backward compatibility option.
But to be honest, nobody ever asked to me to only have the id in the URL :)

I assume you want this because you have existing URLs.

The only way this can be done is by manually customizing each URL, as described on this documentation page.

You can also hire a programmer to create a custom sh404SEF plugin to create such URLs, but the cost might be high, so it basically depends a bit on why you want to do that, wether you want these URLs only for old content, or also for new ones, etc

Hi

Well, I have outlined all the solutions I know in my previous message. If this is for a new site, then it's just terrible thing to do, but sh404SEF cannot do this out of the box.

You have not explained if you want this for a lot of URLs, or also for new articles. In any case, you can always manually customize all URLs.

If manually doing this is not acceptable, then you have to hire a programmer to do a custom plugin.

Hi

Or maybe you can try to talk your customer out of this idea (at least for a new site).
