Hi

I have got one or two odd things happening with my website www.xxxx.com since I updated to the latest version of sh404SEF. I use Joomla 3.6.4 and J2store.

If I visit this link for example: https://www.xxxx.com/nl/video, then click on the English language flag to go to the same page in English, I am taken to this URL: https://www.xxxx.com/fr/?Itemid=126, a non-SEF URL. The menu items are associated correctly.

I am also still unable to go back into an article to edit it if I have recently been in there without logging out, waiting some time and then logging in again. Not sure if this is related but thought I would mention it anyway in case you had seen similar issues on Joomla sites.

Any help much appreciated.

Kind regards

Sean

Hi

1 - Is this native Joomla multilingual or Falang?

2 - What is your exact and full sh404SEF version? (not "latest").

3 - Only the English version seems to have an issue. Is English the default language?

Nope, sorry, that's not something we would be part of!

I am also still unable to go back
What does that mean? what happens?

1. Native Joomla
2. Installed version 4.8.1.3465
3. Yes
4. After editing an article and closing, if I attempt to open the article again I see an error message "You are not permitted to use that link to directly access that page (#articleIDnumber)."

Hi

4 - Was just asking in case I had heard about it, but I didn't. I would suggest searching on the Joomla forum,or just googling. This smells a bit like a caching issue, so you might want to check if this still happens after disabling any caching you may have enabled on your site.

About language issue, please provide us with superadmin credentials to your website. You can create a temporary account, and delete it afterwards, but it must have superuser level.

Thanks and regards

Thanks.

OK, username is xxxx, password is xxxx. Log in at www.xxxx.com/administrator.

I don't have caching enabled but could this be a server issue if they do have some kind of caching?

Sorry correction - I do use JCHOptimise and that creates some cache files I believe.

Hi

You have HTTP basic auth enabled on the site, I can't access the admin.

JCH Optimize does not cache content, AFAIK, it only groups and minify assets (cs, js).

Hi

In the case of the nl/video one, it seems to happen because the English menu item you associated with (Training & advice, #126) is not a real menu item, but instead a menu alias.

If I replace the association on the NL/video menu item with the real menu item (Videos EN/GB), then the link in the language selector becomes https://www.xxxx.com/instructional-videos, which is probably what it should be?
