Hi!
I was implementing Joomshopping to my website and faced a problem:
when i turn on the sh404sef (which is usually turned ON), Joomshopping does not work!
I recorded 1 min video to demonstrate:
[xxxx]

Surfed the internet, figured out - there is a problem with sh404 and joomshopping, but
no solution found.

Do you have any information about this conflict?
Thanks

Hi

I have no information about a particular conflict, but Joomshopping is not really one of the most common e-commerce extensions, so that't no suprising.

From what I see on your video, the problem seems to be that the URL is empty?

There are multiple things that can explain that.

One option is that joomshopping does not come with a router.php file for Joomla SEF. Can you check that?
If it doesn't have any router.php, then it relies on Joomla to create links based on menu items. We do not create links based on menu items. As we do not have any specific plugin for Joomshopping, then URL are empty.

One thing you can try is to set Joomshopping" to "Use Joomla router" undert the "By components" tab of sh404SEF configuration. You will loose some of sh404SEF features, but it should work fine.

Another option is to manually create a link to this URL. Find the non-sef URL for the store (from the menu item you created) and create a URL in sh404SEF URL manager, using the New button.

Thanks for such a detailed answer )

You say Joomshopping is not "most common extension".

I sell "digital" products;
For example, there are "skype-consultation" product and "educational video" product;
After "skype-consultation" payment client should get an email with the skype name of the consultant;
After "educational video" payment client should get an email with the link for downloading the video.

What crutual for me is: opportunity to edit text of the email that is sent to client after payment.
And Joomshopping actually can't do it...

Based on your experience - do you know "common extension" for e-commerce
that works well with sh404?
Would really help! ))
Thanks

Hi

I was not criticizing Joomshopping, just saying it's not one of the extensions I see often. The ecommerce I see most are of course Virtuemart, but maybe not with the best usability.
The two I see more often with good reviews are Hikashop for all kind of shops, and J2Store for simpler sites, but it's very easy to set up.
I don't know about that particular feature of having custom fields in the email. We use Payplans here, from ReadyBytes. It's pretty flexible as well, and you can customize emails very much. It depends on how many consultants you have and how you insert their names in the emails I guess.
