 Hello,
Now I change the dimension of K2 Item (600x338) and set 404SEF to show the largest image.
Delete cache and use

to reload page details
on https://www.xxxx.com/en/products/tour-en/colosseum-and-roman-forum-for-families

but still

thanks,

Hi

OK, there is something wrong here. Could you please provide us with superadmin credentials to your website. You can create a temporary account, and delete it afterwards, but it must have superuser level.

Thanks and regards

Hi

I have no idea. I checked again on other sites, and it works fine. I have no other site with K2 I can look at, but as we don't do anything special for K2, I don't see how that could influence that.

I am willing to find out though, but I will need a backup of your site (Akeeba is perfect) to install on my local machine, to be able to step through the code. I looked at the existing backups however, and the most recent is like 1.5GB. This is not something I can download reliably, and I'm not sure it's up to date.

Can you take another backup, excluding some images folder maybe so that it's a bit smaller - but we need to still have the images on that one single article that we use for testing, en/products/tour-en/colosseum-and-roman-forum-for-families

Hi again

So I have done some more research, and finally found a client site I had where the problem occurs, and I have understood it. It's basically a consequence of a design choice made earlier, that favor an article content rather than the whole page. If sh404SEF finds a suitable image inside an article content, it will use that and not look further.

The problem with the K2 images is that they are not part of content. They are added later on, so when sh404SEF search for the images in the item content, they are not there to be found.

I don't want to change that design, because it's best suited for the vast majority of joomla sites. So I decided to make a special case for K2, and try read the attached images if any. I have made a dev version of that, and will get it on your site later today. That should fix the problem.

Hi

OKay, I am lost now. I installed the new version, which can handle your configuration on any K2 site I tried it on. BUt on your site, it's still stuck to showing the "dormire" image.

There is something special here, and the only way to find it is to have that backup made, so I can look into each line of the code as it is ran. Please let me know.

Hi Again,

Just in case, I started downloading the most recent backup, but it's 1.5GB in size and it doesn't go very fast, so this might last quite some times and it may fail in the middle. I'll let you know.
Is the backup from OctB 25 up to date, does it experience that problem?

Hi

OK, so the problem is solved! The download worked, and I could step through the code while it was running.

This happened because of one K2 setting:

This append a time stamp at the end of each image, such as

https://www.xxxx.com/media/k2/items/cache/d08911f3b25b4e41c0e278c4eeec3e11_L.jpg?t=1467295306

This breaks our image detection code, but once known, it was easy to fix.

Hi

I have added a workaround for this, and it's already on your site. There should not be anything else to do.
