 Check this out: https://xxxx.com/u/6241608/404.jpg

There seems to be a lot of /404/ urls for Virtuemart. How can I get rid of these? And make them link to the correct URL with the categories /category1/category2/ - it works that way too but I have a lot of /404/productname on Google now.

I use Joomla 3.6.4 and latest VM 3.0.18.

Hi

I would suggest you delete them, then see if they come back.

If that happens, then you would need to find where on your site are those URLs found: do you have a menu item called 404, or VM category called 404, or something similar.

I have deleted then several times and they do get back all the time.

I will have to look if I have 404 - I really think that would be strange though. As it gives all categories and all products its own /404/ URL

Well, yes that's weird. Normally we use categories names. And also, if Virtuemart router.php files asks for it, we use menu items. So those are really the 2 ways "404" can make it into a URL.

Note that you need to look at categories/menu items titles, but also aliases.

Hi

Ah ok, glad you found it. Be sure to delete those URLs, and this time they should not come back.
